What does “Wydif” mean?
Wydif means “Would You Do It for…?”.
What is “a wydif”?
A wydif is a question, asking people to do something in exchange for a reward: "Would you do something in exchange for a reward?"
In which cities is Wydif available?
Wydif is on the World Wide Web. If your friends are getting on, the friends of you friend, the international friends of you friend’s friends start using Wydif, than we will definitely be available everywhere.
What are the credits used for?
Credits are essentially used for posting a public wydif and for participating in a wydif offering a monetary reward. It’s free when you interact with a Facebook Friend. Learn more about credits
Creating a wydif
What can I ask for?
You can ask for anything you need done! Keep in mind that the Wydif community is self-policing. Inappropriate wydifs will be reported, and subsequently removed. Use common sense when posting new wydifs. If you need some ideas, go right here
What can I offer as a reward?
There are three types of reward on Wydif. Each type of reward is easily recognizable by its bubble’s color.
1. Money
2. Virtual gifts
3. Open reward: you design your own reward (best mix CD, a T-shirt, a drink etc.) or a symbolic reward (peace, a better world, etc.)
If you want someone to do it, make sure to offer a reward based on how much time and effort is worth.
What information do I need to provide?
You’ll describe what you need done, indicate when it needs to be done, where the action takes place, and set the reward you're willing to offer.
To whom is my wydif sent to?
Your wydif is sent to people that match with your demand best, in priority to Experts, and you can share it with your friends. Public wydifs can also be found in Wydif World.
Can I send non public wydifs?
You can send a wydif to your Facebook Friends, and a private wydif to anyone. Those wydifs won’t show public on wydifs world.
How much does it cost?
Creating a wydif cost 2 credits. Sending a wydif to your Facebook Friends is free. Learn more about credits.
How many people can do what I need done?
There is no limitation, but make sure to reward everyone who does it.
How do I accept people who want to do it?
People will be waiting for your acceptance before they can start doing it. When you feel comfortable with someone, you can accept this person. Before accepting anyone you can check their profile and use the private message service to get to know them better.
How long in advance can I create a wydif?
The action must start within one month after the day it is created.
How long can a wydif last?
A wydif can last 14 days maximum. You can buy premium options to make your wydif last up to 3 months.
Do I have to start the description by “Would You”?
Yes. We think it will help people to screen wydifs world more easily.
How do I reward people when it’s done?
You will have to arrange the transfer directly with the person who helps you. The transfer does not go through Wydif for now. You can use PayPal, send by mail or give the reward directly when you meet.
How much time do I have to reward when it’s done?
You have 1 week to reward people who have done it after the end time is over.
Can I post a wydif to sell my services?
Not really, a wydif is supposed to be created when you need something done. But you can fill in your Expertise & Interest profile: when someone needs help in your field of Expertise or Interest, you’ll receive the wydif.
What if I cannot find the Field I need help in?
Try to type in some keywords in the Categories search bar. Still not finding? Well you might not be the only one so send us an email to add new ideas to enrich Wydif by clicking on suggest a new field or service.
What if I need to cancel a wydif?
You can cancel a wydif at any time. But if someone is already doing it, you might lower your Trust Rate. Make sure to apologize, and you might be forgiven.
Doing a wydif
Where do I find a wydif to do?
Public wydifs are available in Wydif World. You will receive private wydifs and wydifs that might interest you in your “Incoming” page.
How do I make sure I only receive wydifs I am interested in?
You will only receive wydifs sent directly to you or concerning a field you are Expert or Interested in.
Select your Fields of Expertise in your Profile.
Select your Interests in your Settings.
I cannot do this wydif but I know someone who could do it, what should I do?
You can share a public wydif with your Facebook Friends or Facebook Groups using the “send” button.
How can I start doing a wydif?
Just respond “I want to do it”. Easy.
How much does it cost?
Doing a wydif offering a monetary reward will cost you from 1 to 9 credits depending on the reward amount. It’s free when you respond to a Facebook Friend’s wydif and when the reward is not monetary. Learn more about credits.
What if the reward is not what I want?
Well, the point of Wydif is not really to negotiate, so unfortunately you might have to look for something else to do.
I have just hit the “I want to do it” button, what should I do or expect?
If your status is “waiting for acceptance” it means that the user who has sent the wydif wants to be able to select the people who will be authorized to do it. If he selects you, you’ll be notified and your status will change to “Doing it”. Try to keep with the timeline, don’t hesitate to ask for more infos or details to the user sending the wydif.
What are the steps from my acceptance to receiving the reward?
If you don’t need acceptance, you can start doing it right now. Otherwise, you will have to wait to be accepted. When it’s done, both parties can confirm that you have done it. It has to be confirmed by the wydif Sender. Then you’ll be waiting for the reward. When you receive the reward, just confirm that you have received it, and you’ll be considered rewarded.
What is the difference between a comment and a private message?
Comments are public and everybody can read it. Private message are private and can only be read by the person you are communicating with. There is one inbox per wydif.
The wydif has been canceled while I was doing it, what should I do?
The sender has the ability to cancel a wydif at any time. If you were involved in the wydif, the sender had the possibility to give you a reason for the cancelation, or apologize. You can then decide if you want to forgive the sender or not. If you don’t forgive, the sender’s trust rate will be lowered.
Dispute, Trust Rate & Rankings
What is the Trust Rate?
Everybody starts with a 50% Trust Rate.
It goes up when:
- You do something as you said you would
- You reward someone who has done something for you
It goes down when:
- You quit doing it
- You cancel a wydif while people were doing it
- You loose a dispute
What are the Rankings?
Your Rank is the result of your activity on Wydif. Everyone starts with the “New user” Rank. It then evolve towards new Ranks depending on how many wydifs you do, create, and rewards your give. On your Profile, click on “Rankings” to see how to achieve the next level.
What is the Done rating?
When someone has done something for you, you can rate this person and write a review. The “done rating” indicates a level of satisfaction while doing something. The rating is symbolized with stars. You can see people’s rating on their profile.
Can I report a profile or a wydif?
If someone posts a wydif that is not appropriate or does not have an appropriate behavior, there is a button “Report” on each wydif and a button “Report this profile” on each user’s profile. Click on it and we will investigate, we’ll bring ninjas along.
What is a dispute?
We always encourage our members to communicate with each other when there's a problem within a wydif. Most of the time you can work something out with a little bit of teamwork! If for some reason you can’t come to a resolution, the dispute process may help you:
- when the sender does not recognize that what was asked for has been done.
- when the doer claims not to have received the reward he was promised
How does the dispute process work?
The wydif team has developed an automatic process that allows users to exchange their statements in the case of a dispute arising. One after the other, both parties has to make a statement.If someone fails making a statement within 48 hours, the dispute will be lost and the Trust Rate lowered. If the two parties do not work something out, Wydif will calculate who wins or loose depending on multiple parameters such as the trust rate or past actions in the wydif. Of course we keep this formula for ourselves, it’s like the good grandma’s recipe!
Profile & Privacy
Is it safe to connect with Facebook?
Yes, we will never post on Facebook without you consent and we will never submit you email address or personal information to trading partners. Never. Learn more about your privacy.
Why should I connect with Facebook?
You will be able to send wydifs to your Friends directly. You can send a wydif to your Friends even if they are not on Wydif. The more Friends you have on Wydif, the easier it willl be to find people to get anything you need done: tell your Friends.
I have just connected with Facebook , can I set a password?
Yes, you can and we advise you to do so. Simply go to “Profile/Settings->Account”.
How do I protect information on my Profile?
For each information you can decide who can see it. Note that your Expertise, Country & City are always public but no one can use that against you, can they?
Can I control the notifications I want to receive?
We don’t want to spam your mail box, you decide the notifications you want to receive. Manage your notifications here.
Is it safe to buy credits?
When you buy Wydif Credits, the paiement goes trough Paypal. Paypal is safe and reliable.
What are the followers and followings?
Followings are people you decide to follow in order to receive every public wydif they send. Followers are people who want to receive every public wydif you send.
Can I open a business or organization profile?
Yes, you might want your business, organization or association to have its own account. It works the same as an individual account.
Why are the virtual gift’s jokes so bad?
